JEFFERSON A. BOLCH (reprinted from Catawba Valley Neighbors)
Mr. Jefferson A. Bolch, age 95, died Friday, May 8, 1998 at Pellcare Nursing Home after a period of declining health.
Born June 14, 1902, he was the son of Jefferson A. and Harriet Seaboch Bolch.
Mr. Bolch was a member of Christ Lutheran Church for most of his adult life, he was a retired hosiery machine fixer, and owned and operated his own greige goods hosiery mill for a number of years. He was also an avid musician, and owned a number of stringed and wind instruments, some of which he had played in a local string band, and, with his three sons, in a local swing band.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Vera Honeycutt Bolch; infant son, Glenn Alfred Bolch; four brothers (Braxton Bragg Bolch, Linden Logan Bolch, Alvin P. Bolch, Hazel Bolch) ; and two sisters (Elizabeth Bolch Flowers..Mrs. Henry Flowers; and Minnie Pearl Bolch Cline, Mrs. Ted Cline).
Survivors include three sons and one daughter; Charles R. Bolch of Hickory, Mrs. Royce (Audrey) Robeson of Schertz, TX, Donald E. Bolch of Lewisville, TX and Thomas J. Bolch of Raleigh, NC, nine grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
The funeral was held at Christ Lutheran Church on Tuesday, May 12, 1998 and was conducted by Rev. Richard Schwandt, pastor.
Memorials may be made to Christ Lutheran Church in lieu of flowers.

Born June 14, 1902, in Catawba County, he was a son of the late Jefferson Anthony and Harriet Seaboch Bolch.
A member of Christ Lutheran Church, he retired as a hosiery machine fixer and owned and operated his own greige goods hosiery mill.
